More about Reiki and my experiences..
Several years ago, while living
in Austin, Texas, I happened to visit a unique bookstor
called The Angel's Nest. It was a shop which sold angel
materials and gifts of all types and descriptions. I
immediately bonded with the owner of the store and soon
afterward met her husband. I loved them immediately, they
were serene, warm, caring people and they exuded an
energy of peace and love. I noticed a flyer on their
bulletin board about an upcoming Reiki workshop and was
struck by a strong intuitional urge to find out more. The
owner directed me to a bookshelf where there were four
different books on Reiki. I thumbed through one and said
inwardly. "I like this!!!" The second book held
my attention for an hour and I read the whole thing and
couldn't put it down. What so strongly attracted me was
that I had been doing hands on healing since 1975 and
didn't have a clue that it had a name, but there it was
in this book. All the things I had been doing for years.
I decided I had to take this class but was afraid I
couldn't afford it. So I asked what the tuition was and
was informed that the price of the class was to buy the
book I had just read. It was $25. I signed up and bought
the book. That was in 1994 and I have been practicing
Reiki ever since.
To say that Reiki transformed my life is only partially accurate. Reiki transformed me!!!! After my first "attunement" I had a terrible reaction and became very ill. I didn't know what a healing crisis was, but that is what was happening. All the accumulated physical toxins of a lifetime came pouring out of me. It took almost six months for me to adjust to the higher level of energy and to clear out all the poison and heal a lot of the physical imbalances. I will be forever grateful to my First Degree Master, Allen Dickman, for the gift of Reiki. I moved to San Antonio to receive my Second Degree attunement and training. I was rapidly changing and new creativity was pouring in to me. Background and HTML designed by Christel |
