ReikiDance Information
I call this page ReikiDance because Reiki for me is a
dance of healing energy. One of the dances of life. The
Vedic philosopher Tagore once said "the same stream
of life that runs through the world runs through my veins
night and day and dances in rhythmic measure. It is the
same life that shoots in joy through the dust of the
earth into numberless blades of grass and breaks into
tumultuous waves of flowers...the life throb of the ages,
dancing in my blood this moment". Quoted from Deepak
Chopra's book, "The A-to-Z Steps to a Richer
Life." For me, that best describes what Reiki is.
Translated, Rei-means Universal Light and Ki is the
energy of Life Force. It is also called Prana or Chi, it
has many other names, but whatever one calls it, it is
that which is Life and is in each and every thing in the
universe. It is the force that holds the universe
together and gives it life. It is in each and every one
of us eternally and lies dormant until it is unlocked
within us by an energy transfer process called an
"attunement" or initiation ritual. This energy
transfer is from the Source of the energy through the
attuning Master to the Student.
