. More about Reiki and my experiences (VII) ...

The most primary reason for taking Reiki training and accepting the attunements is to heal oneself first, then others. Reiki Treatments Reiki treatments are done on a massage type table fully clothed and are strictly confidential. No inappropriate touching in sensitive areas of the body is done. The hands of the practitioner are laid gently in established traditional hand positions either above the body or directly on the body. Reiki treatments take from 1-2 hours, however an emergency or chair treatment can be completed in a matter of minutes. The more chronic and catastrophic conditions take numerous treatments over time and are longer depending upon the severity of the condition and how long the condition has existed. Reiki is used in the treatment of AIDS and Cancer with good result which have been well documented. Reiki is also effective in treating animals and plants and even the earth itself since it reestablishes balance and harmony to the environment. Reiki can go through walls, metal, casts, is excellent for burn patients and for accident victims. Reiki practitioners sometimes send Reiki to their cars, computers and houshold appliances to do emergency repairs because Reiki runs in those energy systems as well. Sometimes the results are quite amazing. I remember having connection problems with my Internet Service Provider and placing my hands on my computer and sending Reiki to the source of the problem. Almost as if by magick the problem was gone and my computer was restored to normal functioning. This has also worked for me with my car and various other things including a cherry sapling that was sick. It was dying and after about 3 minutes of giving it Reiki it recovered and looked visibly better. It is now over 6' tall and very fruitful. The Reiki patient does not need to believe in Reiki, it is not a religion or dogma or doctrine and it honors all belief systems. What the patient must do is hold a receptivity to the energy, and accept whatever amount of energy they need. To whatever degree they are willing to accept the energy they draw that much. The energy goes wherever it is needed. It continues until the work is done and harmony is restored to the energy system. Reiki practitioners do not diagnose, prescribe or take the place of physicians. On the contrary, Reiki practitioners seek to work in harmony for the good of the patient with physicians and other medical professionals. Reiki practitioners commit to living up to certain high ethical and moral ideals for their own well being and for the well being of humankind.
